The Hamburg -based freight forwarder A. Hartrodt has established its own company in Slovakia, which will be led by Dusan Kapral. The country manager will report to Sebastian Endt, regional managing director for the Eastern Europe region based in Prague.

Kapral, who previously worked for Panalpina and other players in the logistics industry, will focus on the "development and stabilisation of the Slovak market" for his company. He plans to hire four to five experienced employees within the first year. The range of services offered by A. Hartrodt Slovakia will include all products for transport and warehouse logistics.

Although the EU country is comparatively small with a population of 5.5 million, it has "many distribution centres in the heart of Europe", Kapral said, adding that his company’s supply chains extend to Germany, Hungary, Austria, Croatia and Slovenia, among other countries. (sh)
