Further appointments for UTi Americas
UTi Worldwide has appointed Mike Valentine as new regional sales vice-president for the Americas. He reports to Ed Feitzinger, executive vice-president, global operations. Valentine will lead the integrated sales force across freight forwarding, contract logistics and distribution, and is to emphasize the company's activities in growth markets in Latin America and the cross-border trade in North America. Valentine, who joined UTi in 2009, was named regional vice-president, automotive Americas, in 2012. Prior to joining UTi, he worked for General Motors’ global supply chain. In another move Bruce Hulings was named UTi's new global vice-president for projects, mining and energy. He assumes responsibility for all business development and implementation that will drive the company’s growth in the projects, mining and energy sector. Hulings has 25 years of oil, gas and logistics experience under his belt and shares UTi’s client-centric focus and hands-on leadership approach in the energy and mining sector in many markets.
