Gefco moves from Getafe to Pinto

Gefco Spain has opened a new logistics hub for overland transport services in Pinto. The facility is 100% powered by solar energy and features almost 8,000 sqm of logistics space, 980 sqm of office premises and 88 loading stations for trucks. The new logistics hub replaces the existing centre in Getafe.

Pinto is also located south of Spanish capital Madrid. Jaume Capdevila, director overland transport at Gefco Spain, says: “The new logistics hub helps us to increase our capacities in order to serve our customers in the important greater Madrid area.”

The Pinto centre brings the number of logistics hubs operated by Gefco in Spain to 38. They provide transport and logistics services for around 6,000 customers from the country’s industrial sectors. (mw)
