Geis acquires Agotrans Logistik
The Geis Group is set to acquire all of the shares in Agotrans Logistik, a Rodgau-based provider of general cargo and logistics services, on 1 July.
Agotrans has around 120 employees and serves national and European markets. It is currently in the Online Systemlogistik partnership.
The takeover aims to strengthen Geis’ presence in the Rhine-Main region as well as the IDS network. As part of IDS’s reorganisation following DSV’s withdrawal, Geis will also assume operations at the Aschaffenburg depot and expand its network to 13 IDS areas.
Dr Thomas Wernig will oversee the transition until mid-2026. The partners expect the acquisition to be approved by the anti-trust authorities concerned. (js)
