Giorgio Tuti elected ETF president
The European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) has elected Giorgio Tuti as its new President, succeeding Frank Moreels, who steps down to take on the presidency of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF). The decision was made at the ETF Executive Committee meeting in Split on 6 May.
Tuti, a Swiss national, brings decades of union experience and previously led the Swiss Transport Workers’ Union (SEV). He has chaired the ETF Railways Section since 2017. The ETF thanked Moreels for eight years of dedicated leadership, during which the federation gained strength and visibility. Tuti will serve until the next ETF Congress in 2027. (ah)
