Girteka orders 2,000 lorries
Girteka says it has signed Europe’s largest truck deal of 2025, ordering 2,000 new Volvo FH and FH Aero trucks.
The delivery, set for completion this year, will modernise the company’s fleet and aims to improve efficiency, reliability and service for time-sensitive cargo. The vehicles include features such as aerodynamics for better fuel economy, Volvo’s camera monitor system for improved safety, and electric parking coolers to support driver comfort.
Despite a 16.6% drop in heavy truck registrations in Q1/2025 in the EU, Girteka’s investment aims to reflect its focus on reliable transport services. The trucks are also fully integrated with Girteka’s digital systems for proactive maintenance and operations planning. (js)
