Going digital in Niedersachsen Ports

At the ports of Brake, Cuxhaven, Emden and Stade, around 30% of all inland vessel registrations in 2020 were made via the "PortSpot" app.

With this digital procedure, NPorts offers a sustainable alternative for inland skippers, because it saves the time and paper involved in registration. In just a few steps, information on arrival at the port, length of stay, cargo and berth are entered.

The software has become particularly popular at the Port of Stade - over 80% of all barge registrations here now use the app. Since its release two years ago, more than 170 barge operators have registered permanently.

More about the development and introduction of the "PortSpot" app is described in a "plus story" in the recently published sustainability report and on NPorts' sustainability portal. Both can be found on the website www.nports.de/nachhaltigkeit/hafen/. (cd).
