Good prospects for international air cargo

Nashville International airport (BNA) has begun the design phase of "New Horizon". Expected to cost an additional USD 1.4 billion and to be phased in over the next six years with a scheduled completion in late 2028, the new construction and renovation plan includes two concourses, terminal roadway improvements and additional upgrades. The air cargo business is also targeted, with the construction of a new air freight facility "to better support airline cargo requirements."

During the first six months of 2022, the TN-based airport handled 47,200 t of air cargo, which was only 0.1 % more than the year before. Only 600 t of these volumes had an international point of origin or destination, but that was an improvement of 2,588% compared to H1/2021. (ah)
