Good times for OOCL


The fourth quarter ended on 31 December 2020, completing OOCL's rising figures over the year. OOIL indicated in a press release that in Q4/2020, not only volumes went up by 23.7% compared to Q4/2019, but also revenues increased significantly by 51.2% to USD 2.4 billion. The overall load factor contributed to the rise, being 4.6% higher than in the same period in 2019.

 

Also, overall average revenue per teu rose by a remarkable 22.2% compared to Q4/2019. For the full year 2020, total volumes increased by 7.3% over 2019 and total revenues recorded an 18.9% growth. The overall load factor was 2.8% higher than the same period in 2019.

 

Total average revenue per teu shows the development over the full year: it increased by 10.8% compared to the same period last year. (cd)
