Grindrod names Kwazi Mabaso as new CEO
South Africa’s Grindrod Limited has appointed Kwazi Mabaso as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 December 2025, succeeding Xolani Mbambo, who announced his resignation earlier this year.
Mabaso currently serves as CEO of Grindrod Terminals, where he has played a key role in executing major strategic initiatives and driving the Group’s transformation and growth, including recent mergers and acquisitions.
With extensive experience in cross-border leadership and large-scale infrastructure projects, Mabaso brings both a global outlook and deep expertise in African markets. His focus will be on expanding partnerships and unlocking long-term value for stakeholders. (ah)
