Group7 to build in Hamburg

The logistics services provider Group7 intends to build a new hub in Hamburg (Germany). Spanning 26,000 sqm, the planned new building is one of the two largest logistics projects over the last 15 months, Hamburg-based BNP Paribas Real Estate said.

“I am delighted that we can build a new logistics centre close to the port. After Munich, Neuss and Frankfurt, Hamburg is now the fourth major logistics location among our nine hubs in Germany,” Groupö7’s managing director Günther Jocher said.

The new Group7 hub will stand on a 40,000 sqm plot. The company will invest EUR 36 million in the real estate and the new building, which will be used for warehousing and order picking and other logistics services such as set and display construction, assembly work, processing, repairs, aerospace logistics and fulfilment services for cross-border e-commerce. Construction is expected to begin in 2021. (mw)
