Growth ambitions in Southern Africa

DSV Skyservices has named Jaco van den Berg as its new managing director, to lead the company through a new phase of service and product development.

After a 24 year career in the perishable airfreight business, van den Berg joined Skyservices 14 years ago as branch manager in Johannesburg (South Africa). For the last three years, he has served in the position of director and head of operations. Van den Berg’s appointment underlines the importance of the perishable cargo segment to DSV air & sea in South Africa.

DSV air & sea vice president Sub-Saharan Africa Gordon Wyatt said that many synergies had evolved from the integration of DSV Skyservices into DSV air & sea in 2019.

Operating at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and Cape Town International Airport, DSV Skyservices aims to offer end-to-end import and export solutions for perishables. (amh)
