Gruber grows near Milan

After opening a 50,000 sqm logistics hub in the Pavia area earlier this year, Gruber Logistics is further expanding its network with a new warehouse in Lainate, near Milan. It will be the main transhipment point for traffic to France and also serve the Lombardy hinterland.

With a surface area of 15,000 sqm, the new facility is located at a crucial hub for the development of freight traffic in all sectors of industry. The hub is mainly used for the international shipment of groupage and part loads, as well as air and sea transport, but also has an area for logistics and domestic transport services.

International shipments from both EU and non-EU countries are handled via a customs warehouse with temporary storage. In just one year, the number of locations has increased from 30 to 35 and the number of employees from 1,000 to over 1,100. (sh)
