GW supports ETH students solar car team in Australia
Gebrüder Weiss (GW) is once again in charge of logistics for ETH Zurich’s ‘aCentauri Solar Racing Team’ as it prepares for the 2025 World Solar Challenge.
Following 12th place in 2023, the students have now developed a new vehicle with better aerodynamics and solar surface. The car was presented at GW’s Wolfurt centre before being flown to Australia via Frankfurt.
GW’s teams in Zurich, Wolfurt and Adelaide are handling all the transport tasks involved, including packaging, certification, import and delivery to the team’s headquarters in the University of Adelaide. The 3,000 km race in the Australian outback starts in Darwin (Northern Territory) on 24 August.
Gebrüder Weiss, which has supported innovation projects since 2021, sees the collaboration as part of its long-term commitment to sustainable mobility and academic partnerships.
