Hacis to open new cool zone in Hong Kong
Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services Limited (Hacis), a logistics arm of Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl), has opened ‘Cool Zone’, new climate-controlled facility to cater for the increasing volumes of perishable and temperature-sensitive e-commerce transiting Hong Kong airport.
‘Cool Zone’ provides climate-controlled solutions for goods such as fresh fruit and chocolates, speeding up the handling process and avoiding potential costs and delays of transferring goods to off-airport facilities for processing before delivery to agents’ warehouses or the final customer.
The facility will enable cargo arriving in Hong Kong to be easily processed and delivered to local customers on the same day. (cj)
