Hellmann plans new facility for contract logistics

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, which is headquartered in Osnabrück, Germany, will move into a new contract logistics facility in Wörrstadt in April 2021 and thus strengthen its position in the country’s Rhine/Main area.

The decision to move out of the current facility in the neighbouring town of Nieder-Olm follows the renewal of the contract with Hellmann’s long-term partner Endress+Hauser, a Swiss manufacturer of measurement and information technology for laboratories and processes.

In future, the logistics provider will manage Endress & Hauser’s warehousing operations in Germany. The planned branch has about 18,000 sqm of logistics area, 770 sqm of office space and a mezzanine floor measuring roughly 1,500 sqm.

The new hub will help Hellmann to pursue its growth strategy in the Rhin/Main area. “We are looking forward to expand our good cooperation with Endress+Hauser and raise our services to the next level in the new halls,” said Volker Sauerborn, COO Contract Logistics at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
