Henan Aviation to launch another dual air cargo hub
11 years after building up a dual air cargo hub together with Cargolux, China Henan Aviation Group has signed an MoU with Saudia Cargo to establish a strategic air cargo corridor linking Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
The agreement designates Zhengzhou and Riyadh as twin cargo hubs and will support expanded freighter operations between China and Saudi Arabia. In addition to route development, the partners aim to accelerate innovation in digital cargo handling, cross-border e-commerce and low-carbon logistics. The collaboration also includes plans for economic zone cooperation and potential investments in simulation, training and aircraft leasing.
The deal supports Saudi Vision 2030 and China’s "Air Silk Road" ambitions while enhancing both countries’ role in future airfreight networks. (ah)
