HHLA posts strong revenue and profit growth


Despite a challenging environment characterised by geopolitical tensions, economic uncertainty and US trade policy issues, Hamburg Port and Logistics Company (HHLA) experienced significant growth up to September 2025. Revenue increased by 12.5 per cent to € 1,331.4 m, with operating profit (EBIT) rising by 25.7 per cent to € 117.1 m.

 

Container handling volumes grew by 6.7 per cent to 4.798 m teu, including notable gains at international terminals, particularly due to the resumption of handling activities at Odessa. Intermodal transports rose by 13.6 per cent, supported by strong growth in rail and road freight. The port logistics segment saw turnover climb to € 1,303.5 m and an EBIT margin of 8.2 per cent, with results substantially enhanced by higher transport volumes and increased demand.
