Holle moves back into politics
Levin Holle, CFO and Head of Logistics at Deutsche Bahn, has left the group to take on a senior role at the German Chancellery. At the request of the new Chancellor Friedrich Merz, he will serve as the personal envoy for G7/G20 summits, focusing on economic, financial and energy policy.
Holle joined DB in 2020, where he oversaw the divestments of Arriva and Schenker and helped refocus the group on its core rail business. Board member Martin Seiler will take over his duties on an interim basis. Before joining DB, Holle led financial market policy at Germany’s Finance Ministry and held senior roles at Boston Consulting Group. A permanent successor is yet to be announced.
DB Chairman Werner Gatzer called Holle’s appointment "a great recognition of his expertise." CEO Richard Lutz praised Holle’s impact during financially challenging times. (ah)
