Hong Kong unveils ESG roadmap

The Transport and Logistics Bureau (TLB) of Hong Kong recently announced a three-year ESG roadmap for small and medium-sized logistics companies.

Aimed at aligning the sector with international ESG standards, the plan will run from 2025 to 2027 and is part of the 2023 action plan on modern logistics development. It includes three phases: awareness building, data collection and ESG reporting readiness.

"ESG has become an international trend, with the European Union having already made ESG disclosures along the whole supply chain compulsory for enterprises from this year onwards", said a spokesperson for the TLB. (js)
