Iata live-animal certification for Qatar Airways Cargo

Qatar Airways Cargo was recently certified according to ‘Iata CEIV Live Animal’ standards, following six months of process and product audits.

Miguel Rodriguez Moreno, Qatar’s senior cargo manager for climate-control products, explained that the carrier has now become “the fourth airline worldwide to receive this certification, and the first in the Middle East. This is testimony to our dedication to transporting the many live animals placed in our custody every week.”

The company was already recognised as ‘Iata CEIV Pharma’ certified last year, having demonstrated compliance with leading practices in booking, accepting, handling and transporting pharmaceutical products.

The airline also aims to be certified according to ‘Iata CEIV Fresh’ standards in 2022. (cj)
