Ictsi logistics centre expands operations
Clia Pouso Alegre, a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services (Ictsi), has inaugurated an expanded logistics and industrial centre, enhancing the connectivity between the Port of Rio de Janeiro and Southern Minas Gerais. This newly expanded facility features a 30,000 sqm bonded area, 2,000 sqm of refrigerated storage certified by Anvisa, and a dedicated container depot. With this expansion, local businesses can benefit from improved operational efficiency, enabling them to reduce logistics costs and optimise import and export lead times.
The opening of the facility also marks the launch of the Rio-Minas corridor, aimed at increasing regional integration and competitiveness. This multimodal logistics route is expected to provide significant advantages to Southern Minas by minimising costs, ensuring greater operational stability and offering an alternative to congested ports.
