Innova Capital sells Pekaes

It is one of the players whose trucks you often see on European roads - and certainly a key player for transport in and around Poland. Now, Pekaes, an LTL and FTL network, has been acquired by the French group Geodis in an agreement with Innova Capital.

Founded in 1958, Pekaes has a workforce of about 1,200 people and handles the Polish domestic and international flows of some 10,000 active customers. The company also carries out intermodal road-rail transport operations and offers additional logistics services on six dedicated sites.

Olivier Royer, Geodis executive vice president for road transport, will integrate the Polish company into his road transport line of business.

Marie-Christine Lombard, chief executive officer at Geodis, spoke of “consolidating Geodis’ presence in this region" of Central Europe. (sh)
