Integrator launches Roissy hub


Fedex Express recently launched its new facility at Roissy-Charles- de-Gaulle airport (CDG) in France. Since 2020, the Americans have invested EUR 220 million in CDG to create their largest hub outside their home territory.

 

In the southern part of the site, Fedex has opened a new 4,800 sqm building dedicated to accommodating and sorting heavy cargo.

 

The project also includes a three-fold expansion and upgrading of the building that handles packages containing hazardous materials. This warehouse now offer 7,000 sqm of sorting area. Currently, the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle hub can process up to 38,000 parcels and 22,000 documents per hour, a capacity increase of 41%.

 

In addition to new scheduled flights to APAC, Poland, Ukraine and the UK, Fedex Express has also just announced four new air routes to Shannon in Ireland, Venice in Italy, Stockholm in Sweden and Prague in Czechia. (sh)
