IRHA calls for action on alleged illegal haulage

The Irish Road Haulage Association (IRHA) has called on the relevant enforcement agencies to act and eradicate alleged illegal haulage activities which have taking place for several weeks around the Foynes area of Limerick. Despite the association repeatedly informing the Gardaí (Ireland’s national police service) and the Road Safety Authority (RSA) of this alleged illegal activity, nothing was done to protect the licensed haulage operator in the region. In the EU, foreign operators are only allowed to carry out three cabotage operations in seven days to complete their incoming international delivery. (ben)
