ISW renews leadership team
Europe's Initiative System Wasserstrasse (initiative for the waterways system ISW), headquartered in Berlin, appointed a new leadership team at its steering committee meeting on 15 May.
Heike van Hoorn (DVF, third from the left) and Jens Schwanen (BDB, right) joined the panel, while Uta Maria Pfeiffer (BDI) left it, with thanks for her contribution.
Thomas Groß (HDB) and Marcel Lohbeck (BÖB, second from left) were re-elected. The managing role will now be shared by Magnus Bünning (BÖB, third from the right) and Matthias Roeser (BDB, left), succeeding Marc Wählen (HDB, second from the right).
The ISW, founded in 2019, unites 22 European associations from inland shipping, logistics, industry and infrastructure to work for improved waterway conditions. Despite challenging years marked by the pandemic and economic pressure, the initiative has grown in political visibility and industry support. (ah)
