Jack Rice to amplify Scotland’s voice at Bifa
The British International Freight Association (Bifa) has appointed Jack Rice, director of Caledonian Freight, as its new regional representative for Scotland.
With more than 15 years of experience in freight forwarding and customs brokerage, Rice has been active in Bifa's Customs Policy Group since 2024, when he raised concerns about a Scottish port being excluded from HMRC’s transition to the 'Customs Declaration Service'.
In his new role, which he will undertake alongside his position at Caledonian Freight, Rice will work with members and stakeholders to ensure Scottish issues are represented at the national level. Bifa director general Steve Parker said Rice’s experience and policy engagement make him a strong voice for the region. (ah)
