Jambojet appoints Karanja Ndegwa as acting managing director


The board of directors of Kenyan low-cost carrier Jambojet has chosen Karanja Ndegwa as its acting managing director, with effect from 1 May 2020. Ndegwa, who is currently the airline’s CFO, will take on the new role until a permanent managing director for Jambojet has been recruited and appointed.

 

He takes over from Allan Kilavuka, who was appointed Kenya Airways Plc Group managing director and CEO. Kilavuka will continue to serve on Jambojet's board as non-executive director.

 

Ndegwa is a graduate of economics and statistics from the University of Nairobi as well as a certified public accountant. He has over 20 years’ experience in the aviation industry, 12 of which in leadership positions. (mw)
