Japan Airlines enters regenerative logistics
Japan Airlines (JAL) has launched its 'J Solutions Pharma Cells', a new logistics service tailored to the fast-evolving field of regenerative medicine.
According to Japan’s cabinet office the market for regenerative medicine is expected to expand more than tenfold over the next decade.
JAL's offer supports time-critical, temperature-controlled transport of living and cryo-preserved cells for therapeutic use, including IPS cell-based treatments. The service enables ultra-fast handling, with shipments accepted 90 minutes before departure and delivered within 90 minutes of arrival.
Currently available at Narita, Haneda and Kansai, the network will gradually expand. JAL applies strict contamination controls and leverages CEIV Pharma-certified infrastructure and its expertise in pharmaceutical logistics. With Japan’s cell therapy market expected to grow tenfold over the next decade, JAL aims to become a key logistics partner for global cell-based medicine. (ah)
