Jason Barry from Alaska to Canada

Air Canada has appointed Jason Berry as its vice-president for cargo activities, with effect from 1 January 2021. He will be based at the carrier's Montreal headquarters and report directly to executive vice-president and CCO Lucie Guillemette, who said that "Jason's entrepreneurial approach is well-suited to leading the strategic direction of our cargo business and to optimising e-commerce growth, whilst leveraging Air Canada's fleet and our global reach."

Berry comes from McGee Air Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alaska Airlines. He was president in charge of all aspects of aviation services and ground handling, aircraft grooming, airport mobility and gate services. From 2012 until June 2019 he led Alaska Airlines' cargo business. Prior to that, he held operational positions with other air cargo handlers and operators. (amh)
