
Jaxport appoints Latin America cargo sales director
Jaxport, the operator of a leading container hub in Florida and one of the USA’s top vehicle and breakbulk gateways, has named Juan Pablo Acosta Magaña as its new director of cargo sales for Latin America, a role created to deepen commercial ties with the region.
Acosta Magaña will be based in Jacksonville and will focus on containerised cargo customers in South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean, and strengthen links with industry decision-makers.
With 20 years of international trade and logistics experience, Acosta Magaña previously held sales and service roles at major carriers, including Maersk, Hamburg Süd and Hapag-Lloyd. His background also covers freight forwarding and supply chain optimisation. A native of Venezuela, he holds logistics and commerce degrees from universities in Miami and Caracas. (ah)
