Jaxport board extends CEO Green’s contract

During the December meeting of the Jaxport board of directors, it unanimously voted to extend CEO Eric Green’s contract through fiscal year 2024. Green has been with Jaxport since 2005 and was named CEO in 2017. Under Green’s leadership, the port set new container, auto and overall cargo volume records.

“There is no doubt about it, Green is doing a fantastic job as CEO,” said Jaxport chairman John Baker. “This well-deserved contract extension sends a message to our customers and our community that this board stands behind our CEO and will continue to do everything in our power to support him and keep this momentum going.”

Significant accomplishments under Green’s leadership include expansion of the port’s auto-handling capacity, a historic long-term agreement with Carnival Cruise Line and continued year-over-year cargo revenue growth. (mw)
