Kicking off 'Big Twin' conversion programme
The Challenge Group has launched its Boeing B777-300ERSF fleet conversion programme, marking the start of a new growth phase. The first aircraft, already transferred to the IAI conversion facility in Tel Aviv, will be the first 777-300ERSF to operate under a European (EASA) AOC, registered in Malta. With a near-100 t payload capacity, the aircraft offers a highly efficient solution for high-volume and complex cargo flows.
"This aircraft marks a major step for our long-term strategy," said CEO Yossi Shoukroun. "It’s about extending our capabilities and bringing sustainable capacity to global trade."
The fleet will grow to at least four aircraft in the coming years, with options for up to ten units. Challenge Group operates across three airlines, ground handling, logistics and maintenance divisions, and handled over 500,000 t of freight last year. (ah)
