Earlier this month, Global K9 (GK9) has been appointed by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to provide free running explosive detection dogs (Fredds) at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Four canine teams are now deployed to support KLM Cargo’s screening operations in line with EU and Dutch regulations.
"Fredd teams are ideal for high-throughput cargo hubs like Schiphol, offering flexibility without disrupting operations," said Chris Daniels, CCO of GK9. Kester Meijer (left, with Chris Daniels, Global K9's CCO), KLM’s Director of Operational Integrity, Compliance & Safety, noted that the partnership ensures agility and strong safety standards. The agreement marks GK9’s first airline partnership in Europe and follows its ongoing expansion in the region. (ah)
