Kukla UK and Portugal going green

The logistics companies Kukla UK and Kukla Portugal, which both belong to the Robert Kukla Group based in Munich, will be joining forces to focus more on environmental logistics solutions in traffic between the two countries.

Starting in February 2023, customers can access a broader range of logistics services. This includes consolidation services LCL (less than container load), FCL (full container load), bulk, customs advice and assistance, temperature control and providing bonded and non-bonded warehousing.

A key new offer will be the introduction of dedicated beverages and ambient LCL short sea shipping service. This will allow Kukla to provide its customers with a similar time scale to road at a similar cost but with one clear advantage. It is a significantly more environmentally friendly option without compromising reliability.

The enhanced new partnership will continue to provide, alongside the new LCL short sea service, traditional FCL services either by road or short sea for large loads of bottled or bulk in dry or reefer containers. Ambient foods can also safely move at room temperature in a sealed container. The carrier emits to 50% less CO2 with the bulk shipping of wine, compared to bottle transportation.
