Leadership change at marine claims body

Chris Kilbee has been appointed chair of the Association of Average Adjusters (AAA), succeeding Ann Waite, who was the first woman to hold the role since the AAA’s founding in 1869.

Kilbee, an adjuster for 50 years and board member since 2018, aims to further raise awareness of average adjusters’ role in maritime insurance. He also plans to attract professionals from the sector to the AAA’s exam process and reinforce collaboration with insurers.

Kilbee is group chairman of MCO, with offices in all parts of Asia and clients from the Middle East to Japan. He will serve a one-year term. (ah)
