Leunen also moves from Brussels to Ostend
Ostend-Bruges Airport (OST) has appointed Johan Leunen (second from the left) as cargo development director, reinforcing its commitment to expand freight operations and sustainable growth.
Leunen brings over 23 years of experience in the air cargo industry, including key roles in forwarding, handling and airport development. Most recently, he served as senior business and development manager cargo at Brussels Airport, where he was instrumental in attracting new cargo airlines and logistics partners.
In his new role, he’ll work closely with cargo sales director Rose Yiqian Qiu (right) and Egis Group’s director of cargo strategy, Steven Verhasselt (left), to further develop the airport’s services. CEO Nathan De Valck – himself formerly at Brussels Airport – said Leunen’s expertise and network will help strengthen Ostend-Bruges’ position as a strategic cargo hub for the region. (ah)
