Licence to build Kazakhstan’s rail infrastructure
Sinara - Transport Machines (STM) has created a new subsidiary, STM Kazakhstan, as a joint venture with Kazakh Eurotrans Group, whereby STM will hold a share of 75 % and its partner 25%. The JV has all the necessary licenses and permits to operate on the territory of Kazakhstan and to implement infrastructure projects, Sinara said.
STM Kazakhstan will supply rolling stock and track equipment produced by STM, carry out repairs and maintenance, and also provide infrastructure services for rail welding, rail grinding and other types of work related to the maintenance of railways. In 2020, industrial enterprises in Kazakhstan purchased eight diesel shunters produced by STM. (ben)
