Liebherr's electric cranes for Rijeka
Liebherr Container Cranes has partnered with Rijeka Gateway in Croatia to supply the terminal with 15 electric rubber tyre gantry cranes (ERTGs) and two rail-mounted gantry cranes (RMGs).
Rijeka Gateway, a joint venture between APM Terminals and Enna Logic, will benefit from Liebherr's ERTGs powered by electric busbar technology, ensuring an emission-free operation.
The two RMGs for intermodal handling enhance the terminal's commitment to environmental sustainability and its decarbonisation roadmap in the Adriatic region. Liebherr's remote operator stations (ROS) enable operators to control the cranes from an office setting, which improves safety and productivity. (pb)
