Lineage expanding Dutch cold facility

Lineage has broken ground on a project to expand at its fully automated cold storage facility in Bergen op Zoom (Netherlands).

The move supports anchor customer Lamb Weston and aims to meet rising demand in the region, the company reported. The 40% capacity boost will bring the site to over 250,000 pallet positions by 2026, making it one of Lineage’s largest globally.

Located near Rotterdam and Antwerp, the facility will support connectivity in all of Europe. Sustainability features include rooftop solar, battery storage, and Breeam 'excellent' certification. The project follows Lineage’s recent expansion in Denmark. (js)
