Linz confirms commitment to airport

The corona pandemic has also had a massive impact on passenger traffic at Linz-Hörsching Airport. Therefore, the owners of the airport, – the federal state Upper Austria and the city of Linz own 50% each - issued an invitation to a dialogue about the current state and the future of Linz Airport.

Mayor Klaus Luger: "The result of this dialogue is the owners' firm commitment to the airport." Markus Achleitner, Upper Austria's minister for the economy and member of the supervisory board: "Linz Airport is of key importance for the economic prosperity of Upper Austria, before, during and after the corona crisis. As a federal state with a strong economy and industry, Upper Austria needs a robust logistics network, for passengers as well as freight." (ah)
