Logistics for sweets

In Leipheim near Ulm (Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany) B+S Logistik is putting into operation 11,000 sqm of a 30,000 sqm warehouse. B+S will store the products of confectionary manufacturer Lambertz in the facility. The additional 19,000 sqm of the warehouse will be taken over by other B+S customers during the course of the year.

As part of its logistics portfolio, B+S will offer these customers value added services such as the assembly of goods packages, labelling or the building and decorating of sales displays. Many of the products contain chocolate and therefore require a cool environment. In order to guarantee their quality, B+S stores the sensitive treats at a steady temperature of 18 degrees Celsius.

The logistics hall in Leipheim is certified in accordance with the „international food standard“. This set of rules demands that all companies involved in ths supply chain comply with high standards. The logistics hall thus meets essential high-quality standards for food, products and services. At the same time, the warehouse is an ideal location for storing and order picking pharmaceutical products. (mw)
