Logistics partners in Wallonia
The Open Logistics Foundation has officially partnered with Logistics in Wallonia to enhance collaboration in the logistics sector across Europe. This partnership, formalised through a memorandum of understanding, aims to strengthen cross-border cooperation and develop open, interoperable solutions. Logistics in Wallonia serves as an innovation cluster uniting companies, universities and research organisations to create strategic visions and foster collaborative projects within the logistics industry.
This partnership provides the Open Logistics Foundation with access to Belgium's SME sector, facilitating the promotion of open-source solutions like the eCMR, a digital consignment note standard. The collaboration is focused on modernising logistics processes in line with the ongoing Benelux eCMR pilot project, which runs until 2027. Both organisations share a commitment to making logistics more sustainable and efficient, addressing the industry's fragmentation to enhance technology adoption among SMEs in Belgium.
