Lufthansa Cargo and Swiss WorldCargo announce cooperation
Lufthansa Cargo and Swiss WorldCargo, both part of Lufthansa Group, are embarking on a strategic cooperation to enhance customer value while maintaining their unique brands. This partnership will address ongoing changes in the airfreight industry by aligning commercial and operational efforts.
In the upcoming months, the two divisions will focus on harmonising services, streamlining shipment flows, and standardising operational processes, all while utilising a unified IT platform. Swiss WorldCargo excels in high-value, time-sensitive air freight, while Lufthansa Cargo provides extensive global capacity with advanced digital solutions.
Alain Chisari, head of Swiss WorldCargo, highlighted the importance of combining their strengths and Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo, emphasised that this cooperation will offer customers access to one of the industry's largest networks and tailored solutions, furthering the Lufthansa Group's goal of sustainable connectivity in global trade.
