Lufthansa Cargo completes campus modernisation
Lufthansa Cargo has successfully completed the first phase of the Lufthansa Cargo Campus at Frankfurt airport, marking a significant milestone in its modernisation efforts. The new head office features 10,000 sqm of office space, with the first 60 workstations set to become operational after official approval in December. Additional construction phases are scheduled, with the second phase projected to finish by autumn 2026. The modern facilities aim to promote collaboration, innovation and growth, reinforcing the company's commitment to its Frankfurt hub.
With a total investment of EUR 600 million, the LCCevo programme is the largest infrastructure project within the Lufthansa Group, targeting completion by 2030. The updated freight centre will ultimately cover 330,000 sqm, establishing Lufthansa Cargo as Europe's leading airfreight hub. It currently handles 1.4 m t of freight annually, underscoring its pivotal role in global airfreight. The ongoing construction is designed to minimise operational disruption while enhancing service delivery capabilities.
