Many Windows on Africa

French software developer Soget is celebrating its 15th year of partnership with African countries. Currently, six countries on the African continent are equipped with the company's solutions for a cargo community system.

To date, the software has been implemented at 24 logistics sites, including ports, airports and border posts. Altogether, 19,000 people have been trained in the use of the programme.

Sogeti began its collaboration with the port and airport community of Port Louis in Mauritius in 2007, with the port of Cotonou in Benin following in 2010. In 2018, the company began working with the Gabonese Shippers Council – CGC – to provide digital solutions to support Gabon's foreign trade.

The creation of the Single Window in the Togolese Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo were further projects. In Africa’s largest country, Soget solutions, installed in 2014, are now available for 14 logistics sites, ten pre-clearance hubs, 30 registered players and more than 8,000 interconnected operators.
