Maritime Transport orders 18 e-trucks

The zero-emission 42 t trucks are supplied by Scania, Renault, and DAF and scheduled to arrive from late 2024 to early 2025. Maritime will also install electric charging stations in its UK network, which comprises 41 transport depots, rail terminals, and dedicated container storage sites.

The 4x2 trucks are fully equipped with the latest vehicle technology and capable of delivering a range from 300 km up to 500 km. They are the first consignment of 48 battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell trucks which Maritime will deploy in its network as a member of the Zehind-Consortium which is being part-funded by the government to support the freight sector on its path to net zero.
