Martello strengthens container fleet
Martello Transport has added 18 new 'Krone Box Liner' sliding skeletal trailers to strengthen its container haulage operations across the UK. According to Krone the Felixstowe-based company, which serves all major ports and freight hubs, the investment increases capacity and flexibility to meet strong import and export demand.
Director Danny Huwen noted the company’s ongoing partnership with Krone, citing product durability and quality as key factors: "Each trailer comes with a 10-year paint warranty against rust, and combined with the robust construction, we know they will stand up to heavy, daily use over the long term."
The box liners feature welded cross members, double longitudinal beams, and EC-compliant rear bumpers, as well as telematics and tyre-monitoring systems for real-time diagnostics. Martello’s fleet now exceeds 150 vehicles. (js)
