MBS Logistics acquires Wegmüller for AOG growth
MBS Logistics AG, the Swiss branch of Germany’s MBS Logistics Group, has acquired Zurich-based Gerhard Wegmüller GmbH, retroactive to 1 January 2025.
The acquisition strengthens MBS’s expertise in time-critical logistics, particularly in sectors like aviation, aerospace, pharma, and medtech. Wegmüller specialises in AOG spare parts transport and 24/7 emergency logistics. The company will continue operating independently under its name, led by Maria Wegmüller (center) alongside MBS Switzerland MD Fabian Heil (left).
MBS, which runs its time-critical "Anytime" brand in hubs including Frankfurt and Hong Kong, aims to expand international reach and responsiveness. CEO Joerg Roehl (right) sees the move as key to targeted growth and continuity in Switzerland. (ah)
