Mercier joins Groupe Pomona board
The French food services provider and distributor Groupe Pomona has named Abel Mercier to its executive board as its new group director for logistics and procurement, effective today, 1 July 2025.
Mercier has the head of procurement in the group’s cold chain division, Passion Froid, since 2022. He brings extensive industry experience from senior roles at Danone, Monoprix and the Casino Group with him. His new role will see him oversee Pomona’s group-wide logistics and purchasing activities.
At the same time, Vanessa Ekindjian-Echoukry joins the group to take over procurement at Passion Froid. She'll succeed Vincent Drilhon as the head of the division in October. Drilhon is set to retire after 20 years with the company. (ah)
